Creative, sporty and a bit of a nerd

And a mother of a one-year-old. We live together with my husband in Heinenoord, a little village near Rotterdam. I love coaching and helping other people.

Working in a design system team and working as a lead has taught me many lessons about communication, expectations, and working toward the same goals. It has formed me into a thoughtful, patient colleague, while maintaining my honesty and clarity in communication and actions.

I like to do diverse work such as researching (and data) and designing, but strategy is also something I prefer to work on.

I'm currently investigating front-end component development to learn how we can optimize the Design-to-Development process through Figma and AI automation.

I see designers transitioning into consultative and supervisory roles as AI assumes greater responsibility for design. Design systems can increasingly showcase their importance in this evolving landscape.
